About this opportunity

Pacific Air Forces is conducting a sources-sought market research on June 19, 2026, for one commercial-grade, self-propelled bowling lane maintenance machine to support daily operations at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska. No set-aside applies. Place of performance is Eielson AFB, Alaska.

The machine must be battery-operated with lane-to-lane walking capability to move independently between lanes without manual transport. It shall automatically apply lane conditioner (oil) and clean bowling lanes using programmable patterns to support recreational bowling, league play, and tournament operations. Required features include integrated Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile application functionality for pattern management, updates, diagnostics, and operational monitoring. Additional specifications include tank light, glide lane conditioner, sprayless cleaning system, oil pattern access and pattern integration, removable vacuum motor, large waste recovery tank, easy-change squeegee cartridge, multi-adjustment squeegee, six variable drive speed settings, two auto-aligning lane whiskers, and front safety object detection system. The machine shall be designed for continuous daily commercial bowling center operations.

The government notes that failure to maintain lanes with appropriate conditioning equipment risks premature deterioration, inconsistent conditions, reduced customer satisfaction, and potential operational interruption. NAICS 339920 (Sporting and Athletic Goods Manufacturing) and PSC 7810 (Athletic and Sporting Equipment) apply. This sources-sought posting is for market research only with a June 19, 2026 deadline.
