About this opportunity
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) based in Mechanicsburg is seeking potential sources to repair, refurbish, and modify specific maritime equipment components including CO-H2 Burners, CO2 Scrubbers, and High Pressure Air Dehydrators through a five-year basic ordering agreement. The Department of the Navy intends to negotiate with a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, with contractors required to hold a DoD Confidential security clearance in accordance with DoDI 5200.48 policy. All interested vendors may submit capability statements within 15 days of the March 18, 2025 publication date, though the government retains sole discretion on whether to competitively procure the agreement. Specific National Stock Numbers (NSNs) have been identified for repair, including multiple burner and scrubber systems with quantities to be determined. Potential contractors must demonstrate ability to manufacture or repair these complex maritime weapon system components without government-provided manufacturing data.
The solicitation does not include any specific set-aside designations, indicating the opportunity is open to a broad range of qualified industrial manufacturers. While no incumbent contractor is named, the NAICS classification of 333413 (Industrial and Commercial Fan and Blower and Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing) suggests potential vendors will be specialized industrial equipment manufacturers. The exact award value remains undefined, with quantities for each NSN listed as "TBD" (to be determined), which implies flexibility in potential contract scope. The proposed basic ordering agreement will have a five-year duration, providing extended opportunities for the selected vendor to support Naval Supply Systems Command's maritime equipment maintenance requirements. Source approval is required, though NAVSUP WSS will not delay award while this process is pending, indicating an expedited procurement approach.
