About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal is seeking to procure a replacement scrubber duct for Building 340 at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD). The solicitation number is W912NW-24-Q-0008, and the offer due date is May 6, 2024 at 2:00 PM.
This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. The place of performance is CORP CHRISTI, TX 78419, USA. No incumbent or current contractor information is provided, and the solicitation does not specify any award value or budget range.

SCOPE OF WORK

replacement. This is adversely impacting Bldg 340 (Plating Shop) production operations and requires expedient
attention and repair.
It is felt that the duct section was not adequately designed for the application. It is believed that summer heat and
exhaust fan suction led to its collapse. Duct is of UV protected polypropylene construction.
Specification for Replacement Duct Section:
1) Polypropylene or other vendor recommended and CCAD approved material which would be compatible with
acidic or basic scrubber solutions.
2) Scrubber section material shall be UV protected.
3) Scrubber duct section shall be designed to withstand or exceed twelve (12) inches wg of vacuum or otherwise
reinforced to prevent a collapse from reoccurring. Duct reinforcement bands or other strengthening means may be
employed as deemed prudent in the design.
Mechanical Specifications:
Replacement Duct 44 1/4" Outside Diameter UVWPP x 0.25” minimum wall thickness; slip ring 44" Inside
Diameter
Scope of Work:
1) Provide all ducting required to replace the damaged duct sections.
2) CCAD shall provide replacement duct section print for reference.
3) Bolt holes in flanges of new duct section would be drilled in the field to match existing mating flange by CCAD.
