About this opportunity
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City is seeking inspection and repair services for three High Power Amplifiers (HPAs) that are not functioning properly and require specialized maintenance. This sole source procurement is being awarded to Reliable System Services Corporation (RSS), the Original Equipment Manufacturer, due to their proprietary knowledge of the amplifiers' inner workings. The three units requiring service include two HPAs with part number 224851 (serial numbers 0030 and 0034) and one HPA with part number 224569 (serial number 0045). The contract will be awarded as a firm fixed-price procurement using simplified acquisition procedures, with evaluation based on best value to the government considering price, delivery, quality, and past performance. Proposals are due July 1, 2025, providing contractors with only four days from the posting date of June 27, 2025.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is structured as a sole source award to RSS Corporation, which serves as both the incumbent and only qualified contractor due to their OEM status. The contract falls under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance and PSC code J020 for Ship and Marine Equipment maintenance and repair. While specific dollar values are not disclosed in the solicitation, the procurement involves exactly three HPA units requiring inspection, repair, and shipping services. Performance will take place in Panama City Beach, Florida, where the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City facility is located. The Unmanned Vehicles In Service Engineering Agency has been designated as responsible for system engineering, integration, and maintenance of these critical amplifier systems.
