About this opportunity

NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to FAIRMOUNT Automation Inc. under FAR 6.302-1, with challenges due by May 15, 2026. The Navy is procuring repair services for fueling stations DLCS-32 and DLCS-34 to restore proper functioning of the ships' fuels system; repairs are urgent to ensure mission readiness for deployment. The required parts are obsolete and no longer manufactured, and only FAIRMOUNT can provide direct replacement components compatible in form, fit, and function with existing installed equipment. The contracting officer has determined no other source is reasonably available under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Failure to complete repairs risks fuels certification failure or restricted certification status, which would disable the facility from fueling in the hangar bay. Estimated delivery is 60 to 90 days. Any challenges to sole source must be submitted in writing to Charles.d.Bell14.civ@us.navy.mil and must demonstrate the availability of an equivalent service meeting Government needs; the decision to compete remains within Government discretion.
