About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation proposes to add a National Stock Number (NSN) to an existing sole source contract with General Electric (GE) at CAGE codes 99207 or 07482. The targeted NSN (2840-0011406761) has been identified as sole source. The government intends to use a letter solicitation format to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), GE. However, non-OEM sources and surplus dealers are invited to respond with evidence of ability to supply the item for the contract period. The proposed acquisition is for a Firm Fixed Price contract type, with an anticipated term mirroring the remainder of the base contract, including a two-year base and a five-year option period.

This is an unrestricted procurement, with no set-aside designation. The current incumbent contractor is GE, and the contract value is not specified. The government may alter the acquisition strategy if purchasing existing surplus or newly-manufactured inventory is in the best interest of the government. Responses from non-OEM sources are due by the close of business on August 1, 2024.

The proposed action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to General Electric at CAGE 99207 or 07482, on the existing sole source contract SPE4AX-21-D-9413.

It is the Government’s intent to use a letter solicitation format to the sole source Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM); therefore, if any non-OEM source is interested in any of the NSNs, please notify the Contracting Officer prior to the synopsis closing date.  Surplus dealers are also invited to respond to this synopsis.  The response should include a completed surplus certificate, DLAD 52.211-9000, Government Surplus Material / Procurement Note C04 or adequate traceability documentation to show that the product is acceptable.
