About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps is awarding a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Culligan International DBA Consolidated Water Group LLC for preventative maintenance and sustainment services on a Reverse Osmosis water treatment system at Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany, Georgia, with a justification and approval document due by July 3, 2026.

The Marine Depot Maintenance Command requires monthly system performance evaluations, annual water analysis, and replacement of consumables including salt, pre-filters, and RO membranes to maintain system reliability and support mission operations. The one-year contract is expected to start 60 days from award. The sole-source justification rests on Culligan's exclusive licensing agreements and OEM-specific requirements; the system uses proprietary Culligan components engineered for specific pressure tolerances and water quality specifications, with no authorized distributors or resellers for service and parts. Awarding to a non-OEM vendor would create operational risks including cost increases from third-party parts, extended downtime due to lack of OEM-specific training and parts inventory, performance degradation from miscalibration without access to proprietary diagnostic tools, and full liability exposure for system damage.

Although no solicitation will be posted, potential sources may contact the Marine Corps procurement team to discuss their ability to offer required services for future acquisitions. The acquisition falls under FAR Part 12 with simplified acquisition procedures.
