About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit socket receptor housings (NSN 1R-1680-016468345-CB, quantity 2 each) with a response deadline of October 13, 2026; the item is flight-critical and requires Government source approval prior to award, effectively limiting competition to sources previously approved by the Navy.

The Government does not possess sufficient, accurate, or legible technical data to support full and open competition. Only pre-approved sources have been solicited. Unapproved sources may bid but must submit source-approval documentation from NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) concurrent with their proposal, selecting either the spares or repair brochure based on company experience. Offers that fail to provide all required source-approval data or do not document prior submission of such data will not be considered for award. The Navy notes that if source-approval evaluation cannot be completed in time to meet Fleet support needs, award may proceed based on the currently approved source(s) without awaiting new-source clearance.

Delivery is FOB origin. Contractors should review the applicable NAVSUP WSS source-approval guidance at the links provided before preparing proposals. If a source-approval request is currently under NAVSUP WSS evaluation, include a copy of the cover letter submitting that request with the offer.
