Notice text

The U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) awarded a Firm Fixed Price, sole source purchase order on behalf of the United States Army Aeromedical Research Laboratory (USAARL) to Stephenson & Stephenson, Research & Consulting, LLC (SASRAC) located in Loveland, OH 45140-8194, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), only one source reasonably available that will satisfy agency requirements.  This requirement is for subject matter expert support to develop and write a field-based experimental protocol for small arms to validate current hearing health hazard assessment models identified in MIL-STD 1474E (with free-field exception) utilizing proprietary protocols from Phase I of the protocol.

SASRAC is the only vendor with access to the proprietary protocols required for the completion of Phase II of the walk-up study.  Further, due to the critical need for continuity and the audiological-research fidelity required of the work involved, SASRAC is the only vendor capable of providing the services needed to meet the government’s need.

Awarded contract W81XWH-20-P-0116 to STEPHENSON & STEPHENSON, RESEARCH & CONSULTING, LLC for 39999.90 on 2020-07-14.
