About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command's 7th Contracting Squadron at Dyess AFB is procuring Skydio X10D drones and related accessories through a brand name requirement solicitation. The procurement includes 4 Skydio X10D VT300-Z drone kits, 60 drone batteries, 20 replacement propellers, 6 NightSense units with visible light attachments, and 4 NightSense units with IR attachments to support advanced training operations and enhance aerial reconnaissance capabilities for the 21st Air Task Force and 823d Base Defense Squadron. Offerors must submit complete signed RFQ pages, drone specifications, and pictures of quoted items via email by 2:00 p.m. CST on August 20, 2025. Questions must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. CST on August 14, 2025, with answers provided through an amendment. The government will evaluate offers based on best value considering technical acceptability, price, and delivery, with the intent to award a firm-fixed-price contract requiring delivery within 30 days of contract award.
This opportunity is set aside as a total small business procurement under NAICS code 336411 (Aircraft Manufacturing), with no incumbent contractors identified in the documentation. While specific award values are not disclosed, the procurement involves significant quantities of specialized Blue UAS Approved equipment that will be used for emergency response, wildfire monitoring, and post-disaster assessment missions. The equipment will be distributed between two locations: Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, and Dyess AFB, Texas, with each base receiving approximately half of the total quantities. Amendment 1 corrected quantity errors in the original solicitation and changed one shipping destination from Moody AFB to Joint Base Charleston. The justification emphasizes that the Skydio X10D is one of only twenty-one Blue UAS Approved systems meeting Defense Department requirements, with 8 of 15 team members already certified on the platform.
