About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is procuring 31 units of SKI ASSEMBLY, LANDING components (NSN 1630-00-912-3167, Part Number 114SS662-13) for the CH-47 Chinook helicopter weapon system through a one-time buy firm-fixed price contract. All interested firms must meet prequalification requirements to be eligible for award, and the government encourages companies to identify themselves as capable producers and seek source approval through the Standardized Aviation and Missile Source Approval Request (SAMSAR) process. The procurement is suitable for competitive acquisition, though the government lacks the technical data and manufacturing rights necessary to qualify alternative sources or second source parts. All responsible sources, including foreign firms, may submit offers for consideration. The estimated closing date for solicitation requests is November 5, 2025, though this date may be adjusted based on the actual solicitation release date; all communication regarding requests for solicitation must be directed via email to ATTN: DLA-AHAB, Erica Allen, Contract Specialist, at Erica.Allen@dla.mil, and should include the company name, CAGE Code, and contact information.
This opportunity utilizes no set-aside designations and does not identify any incumbent contractors or current source suppliers in the notice. The contract represents a one-time buy with a production lead time of 180 days after contract award without First Article Testing (FAT), with all deliveries scheduled to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. The specific award value or budget range is not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) and PSC code 1630 (Aircraft Wheel and Brake Systems), reflecting the nature of the landing ski assembly components being acquired. Interested vendors are advised to proactively seek qualification and source approval to compete effectively for this and future related solicitations.
