The 90th Contracting Squadron, F.E. Warren AFB, WY intends to award a single-source contract to Honnen Equipment Co., 5055 E. 72nd Ave Commerce City, Colorado 80022-1513; CAGE: 012B7, to provide services for crane boom inspections. This requirement includes but is not limited to four (4) Manitowoc National Cranes that require the boom to be completely disassembled to allow thorough inspection of the extend and retract cables, extend and retract sheaves and pins, inspection/replacement of top and bottom pads, and a load test for each unit. Vendor must be located within a 100 mile radius due to Government transport and must be a certified to work on National Cranes per Manitowoc. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Service.
The statutory authority which permits single-source for this acquisition is 41 United States Code (USC) 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). This authority is supported by an approved Justification & Approval. It is the Government's intent to proceed with this singlesource action. The applicable NAICS code is 811310. The size standard as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration is $8,000,000. The anticipated award date is 27 May 2022.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS OR QUOTATIONS. No solicitation package will be issued. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. All responses received by 1:00 pm Mountain Time (MT) on 19 May 2022 will be considered by the Government. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. All information submitted should support the offeror's capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror's capability to provide these services. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
