About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command has issued a Special Notice regarding the SIMX VALOR VRMSS Virtual Reality Medical Simulation Training Software Curriculum and Licenses opportunity. This notice serves as an intent to sole source announcement rather than a competitive solicitation, indicating the government's intention to negotiate and award a contract to a single predetermined source. The opportunity falls under the Custom Computer Programming Services NAICS category and specifically relates to IT and telecom business application software as a service. The posting date is August 28, 2025, with an extremely tight response deadline of August 29, 2025. The notice explicitly states that this represents the only notification the government will provide regarding their intent to pursue this sole source acquisition.
The primary purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the contractor community of the government's intent to sole source the SIMX VALOR virtual reality medical simulation training software, curriculum, and associated licenses. Despite being a sole source intent, the government welcomes capability statements, proposals, or quotations from all responsible sources, which must be submitted by 0800 CDT on August 29, 2025. Responses must be directed to Contract Specialist Lindsay Fallon and Contracting Officer Lisa Pendragon via email with the specific subject line "Intent to Sole Source SimX VALOR VRMSS." The government has made clear that no payment will be provided for submitted information and that this single notice constitutes the entirety of their public announcement regarding this procurement opportunity. All responsible contractors are eligible to participate by submitting their responses, though the notice suggests a predetermined outcome favoring the sole source approach.
