About this opportunity
The U.S. Coast Guard seeks shock absorber assemblies (NSN 5340-14-466-0184, Part Number 522-306) with quotations due August 26, 2026 at 09:00 am EDT. Amendment 1 dissolved the Total Small Business Set-Aside; the solicitation is now open to all responsible sources.
Place of performance is the Coast Guard Aviation Logistics Center in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The procurement requires 60 units of shock absorbers with a requested delivery date of June 1, 2027, and F.O.B. Destination terms. All parts must have clear traceability to the Original Equipment Manufacturer, Airbus Helicopters, France (Cage Code F0210), documented through a complete, auditable paper trail from OEM-approved sources. Offerors must submit a Certificate of Conformance signed by authorized representatives confirming complete ownership traceability from approved manufacturing sources.
This is a simplified acquisition of commercial items under FAR 12, issued as RFQ 70Z03826QB0000201. Award will be made firm-fixed-price to the lowest priced offer rated technically acceptable. Technical acceptability is assessed solely on the offeror's ability to provide new manufactured commercial items from the OEM or OEM-approved sources matching the exact part numbers specified. The evaluation methodology requires assessment only of the lowest priced offer; if unacceptable, evaluation proceeds sequentially through higher priced offers until the lowest priced, technically acceptable offer is identified. Prices must remain firm for 60 calendar days from receipt date. FAR clause 52.217-6 applies: the Government may increase quantity by up to 60 units at the unit price specified (maximum 120 total) within one calendar year of award. The NAICS code is 336413; the small business size standard is 1,250 employees. Payment is made electronically within five days of shipment upon receipt of all items.
