About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command has issued a Special Notice for an Industry Day event to be held at His Majesty's Naval Base (HMNB) Clyde in Faslane, UK from August 28-29, 2024. The event is targeted at ship maintenance and repair contractors and is intended to provide them with an opportunity to tour a decommissioned frigate and discuss requirements for urgent and emergent ship repairs.
The purpose of the Industry Day is to allow the U.S. Navy to brief contractors on contracting and maintenance & repair processes, and to receive feedback from industry on their ability to support emergent ship repair requirements. Contractors are invited to provide their own briefings to government representatives during the two-day event. Participation is open to all interested contractors, with a registration deadline of August 12, 2024. Contractors must complete site induction training through the Oil & Pipelines Agency prior to attending. This is an unclassified, no-cost event, and the U.S. Government will not be responsible for any attendee expenses. The announcement notes that this is not a solicitation, request for proposal, or a promise of future contract award.
