About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation (DLA Aviation) is conducting market research for a procurement of SHAFT components with NSN 2835-01-181-4168RP, specifically the 19E194-2A part number. The agency is seeking to determine if alternative sources can satisfy their requirements for these specialized components. This pre-solicitation notice is designed to explore potential suppliers and enhance small business access to acquisition information. The contracting opportunity is solicited under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), which indicates the supplies are available from a limited number of responsible sources. Interested parties must submit their capability statements, proposals, or quotations by March 28, 2025, with the potential solicitation number SPRHA1-25-Q-0339.
The procurement is not set aside for small businesses and is classified under NAICS code 333611 for Turbine and Turbine Generator Set Units Manufacturing. The estimated quantity is 11 units, with an anticipated delivery schedule of June 20, 2025. Foreign participation is not permitted at the prime contractor level, and the government does not currently own the data or rights needed to purchase these parts from additional sources. Collins (99551) has been suggested as a potential subcontracting opportunity. The government has determined it would be uneconomical to purchase data rights or reverse engineer the part. The contract duration is currently to be determined, and while the pre-solicitation does not commit the government to a specific procurement, it invites interested parties to demonstrate their capabilities in supplying these specialized components.
