About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking a shouldered shaft through a pre-solicitation notice for contract opportunity SPRTA1-25-Q-0306. The procurement falls under the Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing NAICS category (336413) and is classified under the Miscellaneous Power Transmission Equipment PSC category (3040). This acquisition is structured as a pre-solicitation notice with an initial posting date of April 25, 2025, and a response deadline of May 28, 2025. The solicitation will be processed through the Government Purchase Exchange (GPE) and permits electronic response mechanisms, specifically email submission. The contract is being processed with an exception to standard synopsis requirements due to the expected value being below the simplified acquisition threshold.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. While precise award values are not explicitly detailed, the procurement is expected to remain under the simplified acquisition threshold. The contract appears focused on procuring a specific type of shaft component, likely for aviation or aerospace applications. The electronic submission process suggests the government is seeking efficiency and broader vendor participation in this procurement. The opportunity is specifically associated with PR 24-00924, indicating this is part of a broader procurement process within the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation's supply chain management efforts.
