About this opportunity

The Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 6 units of hydraulic servovalves under NSN 7R-1650-008743737-LC through a sole source acquisition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as the rights to use technical data for purchasing or repairing this part from additional sources are not owned by the Government and cannot be obtained. The part cannot be economically reverse engineered, limiting competition for this aircraft hydraulic system component. Interested parties may submit expressions of interest, capability statements, or proposals within 45 days of the September 10, 2025 posting date, with a due date of October 27, 2025. All proposals received within this timeframe will be considered by the Government, though this notice is not a formal request for competitive proposals.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and will be conducted as a full and open competition despite the sole source intent. The contract requires delivery FOB origin for the 6 hydraulic servovalves, with technical data package version 001 specified. No specific incumbent contractors or potential award values are mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice. The timeline allows approximately 47 days from posting to the proposal due date, indicating a relatively standard procurement schedule for this type of specialized aircraft component. Military and federal specifications, along with qualified products lists and other standardized documents, are available through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online system for interested parties to review technical requirements.
