About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking procurement of servo cylinders through a solicitation issued under Emergency Acquisition Flexibilities. The contract opportunity, identified by ID 157207b44b074ee48af073c39cdb104c, is focused on acquiring components within the Search, Detection, Navigation, Guidance, Aeronautical, and Nautical System and Instrument Manufacturing category (NAICS 334511). Award will be made using a Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, with strict requirements for vendor qualification. Specifically, only government-approved sources of supply will be considered, and offerors must submit an authorized distributor letter from their source at the time of proposal. Past performance will be evaluated through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) and Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System (FAPIIS), with acceptable performance being a mandatory criterion.
The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation and provides a proposal submission window from April 29, 2025, to May 29, 2025. While specific contract value details are not explicitly stated, the opportunity involves automatic pilot mechanisms and airborne gyro components (PSC 6615). The contract includes provisions for warranty of supplies for 365 days and allows 45 days for defect discovery. Potential contractors must comply with various federal requirements, including Buy American regulations, Free Trade Agreements, and Balance of Payments Program guidelines. Additional requirements include equal opportunity provisions for veterans and workers with disabilities, and compliance with transportation and royalty information protocols. The procurement process emphasizes strict technical and procedural compliance, with any deviation from specified requirements potentially resulting in proposal disqualification.
