About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 13 servoactuator assemblies under NSN 7H-4810-014847279. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as they do not own the data rights needed to purchase or contract repairs from additional sources and have determined it uneconomical to acquire the data rights or reverse engineer the part. However, all responsible sources may express interest and capability to respond to the requirement within 45 days of the notice publication date of July 2, 2025. The final due date for this opportunity is August 18, 2025. The procurement falls under the powered valves category and is subject to delivery FOB origin terms. Interested parties have 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with commercial items if applicable.

This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all eligible contractors. No specific incumbent contractors or potential award values are mentioned in the notice. The quantity requirement is limited to 13 units of the servoactuator assembly, with delivery terms specified as FOB origin. The timeline allows for a 47-day response period from the posting date to the final due date. The procurement may be subject to Free Trade Agreements and World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement provisions if the corresponding DFARS clauses are included in the eventual solicitation. The Government has indicated this is not a request for competitive proposals but rather a market research effort to determine whether competitive procurement should be conducted.
