The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, intends to procure production and delivery of an upgrade of two (2) Servovalve Test Stands, Part Numbers 9740-0179, Serial Numbers 6192-001 and 6192-002 located in Building 133 at Fleet Readiness Center East (FRC East), Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, NC. The upgrade shall replace the test stand computer, peripherals, software, and Data Acquisition and Control System (DACS). The software shall be replaced with a Windows based software. The DACS shall be replaced with a Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) Data Acquisition and Control System. The upgraded test stands shall test servo valves per their associated overhaul manuals.
This is intended to be a small business set-aside procurement. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract for this requirement. The Servovalve test stand upgrade shall be of the contractor's design except as otherwise specified and capable of performing its intended function in accordance with the operation and performance requirements of the specification documentation, and with no loss of capability of the current system. This acquisition is being pursued under authority of 41 U.S.C 1901, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Unless stated herein, no additional information is available. Requests for a determination by the Government not to compete this effort are solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is nor a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Responses stating interest must be received within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice. The Point of Contact to receive an RFP is Mr. Domenick Davino, Domenick.Davino@navy.mil, Code 2.5.2.5.1, (732) 323-7436.
Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at: http://www.sam.gov/vendor.cfm.
GENERAL INFORMATION: There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, make an award or awards, or be responsible for any money expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the effort described above. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
