About this opportunity

The Air Force Sustainment Center is conducting market research to identify sources qualified to repair the Servo Con Altimeter (NSN 6610-01-459-7535) for USAF personnel, with responses due by August 14, 2026. The anticipated acquisition strategy is a five-year contract (base plus four one-year option periods) continuing through FY31, with a projected requirement of 3 units per year, totaling 15 units over the contract period.

Respondents must possess production data, repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience meeting qualification requirements for this aircraft altimeter. The altimeter measures altitude by dial indication transmitted by synchro from a remote source, incorporates a zero-setting system, and features an automatic standby capability that reverts to direct static pressure actuation upon electrical malfunction or pilot selection.

Interested parties must submit a Contractor Capability Survey within 30 days addressing general capabilities, repair and maintenance procedures, test and quality assurance processes, commerciality, manufacturing capabilities where applicable, engineering services, documentation of past similar projects, facility and equipment listings, configuration management processes, and approaches to obsolescence and diminishing manufacturing source issues. Survey responses should not exceed 10 MB per email submission.

Both large and small businesses, joint ventures, and teaming arrangements are encouraged to participate. Small business respondents are invited to identify work areas suitable for small business set-asides. Security clearance levels and foreign participation requirements have not been determined. Kennedy Graham, Logistics Management Specialist, serves as the point of contact (kennedy.graham.1@us.af.mil).

Notice text

The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the production data/repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the repair of the Altimeter NSN: 6610-01-459-7535 for USAF personnel. Our acquisition strategy is a five-year contract (basic plus four option years) and will continue through FY31. The projected requirement is 3 units per year, totaling 15 units over the five-year period.
The Altimeter measures altitude by dial indication transmitted by synchro from a remote source. The transmitted altitude may be pressure altitude as derived from an air data computer or other suitable transmitter. It employs a zero setting system to permit the altimeter to be set at zero altitude at an existing ground level. The item incorporates an automatic standby feature which will revert to direct static pressure actuation, indicated by a warning signal in the event of electrical malfunctions or at the pilot’s option. The item is designed for use in aircraft where accuracy is required to meet altitude separation requirements.
