About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 6 units of SERVER, PORTEXA equipment under NSN 0O-7025-LLH7E7899. This procurement falls under the IT and Telecom Storage Products category and involves specialized server hardware that requires delivery FOB origin. The Government has indicated this will be a sole source acquisition under FAR 6.302-1 authority, as the rights to use technical data for alternative sourcing are not owned by the Government and cannot be economically obtained or reverse engineered. While this notice indicates intent to negotiate with only one source, all responsible parties may submit expressions of interest, capability statements, or proposals within 45 days of publication. The original posting date was March 22, 2023, with responses due by October 30, 2025.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is open to all responsible sources despite the sole source intent. The contract calls for delivery of exactly 6 units of the specified server equipment, though no specific incumbent contractor or potential awardee is identified in the notice. No budget range or estimated contract value is provided in the solicitation details. The extended timeline from the March 2023 posting date to the October 2025 response deadline suggests a complex procurement process, though the specific performance period for actual delivery is not specified. Technical documentation and specifications are available through the DoD Single Stock Point and ASSIST-Online portal for interested parties seeking additional information about the requirements.
