About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure 6 units of SERVER, AUTOMATIC DA under NSN 7H-7035-016989903. This pre-solicitation notice indicates the government intends to negotiate with only one source, NCS Technologies Inc. (1BEK6), as the approved supplier. The government does not own the data rights necessary to purchase or contract repair services from additional sources, and has determined it would be uneconomical to acquire these rights or reverse engineer the part. The delivery terms specify FOB Origin, and the procurement falls under the IT and Telecom category for end user help desk and workspace productivity tools. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date of July 11, 2025 to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements, with a due date of July 21, 2025 for initial responses. The government may consider competitive procurement based on market responses, though this determination remains at their discretion.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is structured as a sole-source acquisition. NCS Technologies Inc. serves as the current approved source and likely incumbent contractor for this specialized server equipment. The contract requires delivery of exactly 6 units of the automatic server systems, with technical data package version 001 and reference number TI20-S01-2. The government has explicitly stated this procurement will not follow FAR Part 12 commercial item acquisition policies based on their market research. However, interested commercial suppliers have a 15-day window to notify the contracting officer if they can satisfy the requirement with a commercial item alternative. The notice does not specify contract values or budget ranges, focusing instead on the technical specifications and sole-source justification.
