About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 6 units of Sensor, Precooler, AI components under NSN 7R-1680-015854787-P8, reference number 129666-3. This procurement involves commercial/nondevelopmental/off-the-shelf items classified under PSC 1680 for Miscellaneous Aircraft Accessories and Components, with delivery FOB origin. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1 authority, though all responsible sources may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Interested parties have 45 days from the publication date of August 14, 2025 to submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements for consideration, with this timeframe reduced to 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement. Technical documentation and specifications can be obtained through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) or accessed online via ASSIST-Online at http://quicksearch.dla.mil/.

This procurement opportunity carries no set-aside designation and is open to all qualified contractors. The solicitation specifically requests 6 each of the sensor components, representing a relatively small quantity procurement typical of specialized aircraft parts replacement or maintenance requirements. While no specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the commercial nature of these off-the-shelf items suggests standard market pricing will apply. The September 29, 2025 due date provides contractors with approximately 45 days to prepare and submit their responses following the August 14, 2025 posting date. No incumbent contractor or current service provider is identified in this initial notice, consistent with the government's stated intent to consider all qualified sources despite planning single-source negotiations.
