About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command anticipates procuring 6 units of differential sensors (NSN 0Q-2990-014638955-CL) with a response deadline of August 31, 2026; this is a government-source-approval-required procurement limited to previously approved suppliers due to the item's flight-critical status and inadequate technical data for full and open competition.

The item requires delivery FOB origin. The Government does not own data or rights to obtain repair data from additional sources and has determined it uneconomical to purchase such rights or reverse-engineer the part. Only sources previously approved by the Government have been solicited.

Prospective vendors not currently approved must submit source-approval documentation with their proposal using one of the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Source Approval Information Brochures for either spares or repair, available at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/NAVSUP-Enterprise/NAVSUP-Weapon-Systems-Support/Business-Opps/. Documentation must include technical data substantiating the company's production experience with the same or similar items, or evidence that the company has never manufactured this item. Vendors with pending source-approval requests should submit a copy of the cover letter forwarding their approval request alongside their offer. Proposals lacking all required source-approval data or failing to document prior submission of required data will be excluded from award consideration. The Government notes that source-approval evaluation timelines may prevent approval of new sources prior to contract award if Government delivery requirements cannot be deferred pending approval.
