About this opportunity
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, through the Expeditionary Missions Consortium (EMC2), is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) on the SENSEI (Sensing for Interdiction) Electro-Optic Infrared System technical refresh for Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-UAS), with responses due June 8, 2026. The RFI is not set-aside and carries no competitive restriction; however, only EMC2 members can access the RFI documents and submit responses. The Government intends to use information collected from the RFI to develop a subsequent Request for Solutions (RFS) with anticipated award under a Project Order via the EMC2 OTA in accordance with 10 U.S.C. § 4022.
Interested vendors must join the EMC2 consortium to view the RFI and obtain associated documentation, including Distribution C and D classified materials. Prospective respondents should register as consortium members at https://emccrane.org/ to access the RFI and track future RFS activity. The Naval Sea Systems Command is the sponsoring activity, and the procurement is classified under NAICS 541715 (Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences). The RFI serves as an industry engagement mechanism to inform technical strategy and potential competitive solicitation parameters rather than a direct award vehicle.
