About this opportunity
The US Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) intends to issue a solicitation for vendors to participate in an Evaluation Test Event for a non-developmental self-propelled howitzer system at Yuma Proving Ground. The procurement will focus on a 155mm self-propelled artillery vehicle, including associated components such as ammunition, resupply systems, and special tools to demonstrate system capabilities. All responsible sources may submit bids or proposals, with the solicitation (W912CH-25-R-0003) to be issued electronically through SAM.gov on or about February 27, 2025. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) arrangement, and all contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management. The solicitation is anticipated to close around April 14, 2025, with an estimated contract award in the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2026.
No specific set-aside has been designated for this procurement, and the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors in the Military Armored Vehicle, Tank, and Tank Component Manufacturing sector (NAICS 336992). The technical evaluation will focus on the system's capabilities during the test event, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of H210 for Equipment and Materials Testing-Weapons. While no specific budget range or incumbent contractor was mentioned, the government emphasized that this pre-solicitation notice does not guarantee contract award. Potential vendors should note that no U.S. Government Technical Data Package will be provided, and all solicitation documents will be distributed electronically. Interested contractors are advised to carefully review the full solicitation when it becomes available, understanding that the formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will take precedence over this pre-solicitation notice.
