About this opportunity
The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service Region 9 is seeking a lease for approximately 540 usable square feet of office space located in the Los Angeles Wholesale District. The agency requires a fully serviced lease with specific geographic boundaries defined by 7th Street to the North, Alameda to the South, Olympic to the East, and Central to the West. The space must meet stringent government requirements including fire safety, accessibility, seismic, and sustainability standards, and cannot be located in a 100-year flood plain. Potential lessors must comply with telecommunications prohibitions outlined in Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act. The pre-solicitation notice indicates the government is evaluating alternative space options based on economic advantages, considering factors such as relocation costs, tenant improvements, and potential agency downtime. The response deadline is January 13, 2025, with the opportunity initially posted on October 17, 2024.
The lease opportunity includes five parking spaces and includes a potential 10-year extension option. No specific set-aside designations have been applied to this procurement, meaning it is open to all qualified vendors. While the specific budget range is not disclosed, the government is currently occupying a lease that will be expiring, suggesting this is a replacement or alternative space procurement. The solicitation appears focused on finding a suitable office space that can seamlessly accommodate the agency's operational needs with minimal disruption. Interested parties should carefully review the full solicitation details and ensure their proposed space meets all specified government requirements, including comprehensive infrastructure and telecommunications standards.
