About this opportunity
The Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center of the Department of the Army Materiel Command is seeking information from industry regarding distributed radar techniques for Army Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) in support of the Aviation ecosystem's Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) mission. The requested techniques must be scalable in physical size and capability, with a focus on government purpose rights and compliance to radar open architecture standards. Responses to the Request for Information (RFI) are due within 45 days of posting, and a Technical Exchange Meeting will be held in Q4 FY24 at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Submissions must be unclassified or classified up to SECRET, not to exceed 20 pages, and may be provided via unclassified email or encrypted through the DoD SAFE system.
This RFI is not a solicitation, and the government will not reimburse costs or provide individual notification of results to respondents. The information gathered will be used to determine if the upcoming solicitation will be a full and open competition or a set-aside. No set-aside designation is currently specified, and no potential incumbents or current contractors are named. The government has not provided any award value or budget range details.

Distributed Radar Techniques for Army UAS- The Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center is seeking information from industry regarding distributed radar techniques for Army Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS) in support of the Aviation ecosystem’s Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition (RSTA) mission. To provide capability to this suite of platforms, payloads must be scalable both in physical size and capability. Integrated sensing capabilities will be facilitated by shared interfaces across platforms and payloads with a significant prioritization of Government Purpose Rights. Future techniques are expected to be shared across payload hardware implementations through compliance to radar open architecture standards (i.e. Common Open Architecture Radar Program Specification or COARPS).
