About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking aircraft seat spares through this competitive solicitation, specifically targeting the procurement of miscellaneous aircraft accessories and components under NAICS code 336413. This Request for Quote (RFQ) is classified as a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirement and will utilize competitive procedures to select a contractor. The government will evaluate submissions using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, which means the most cost-effective offer meeting technical specifications will be selected. Quotes must be submitted electronically by 2:00 PM EST on February 28, 2025, with late submissions automatically disqualified. The solicitation emphasizes compliance with various federal acquisition regulations, including Buy American provisions, equal opportunity guidelines, and specific contractual documentation requirements.
While no specific set-aside designation is indicated for this procurement, the solicitation covers aircraft seat components within the "Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing" category. The contract appears focused on spare parts procurement, though specific quantities are not detailed in the available documentation. The Naval Supply Systems Command will handle contract administration, with potential communication through the contact provided: Michael J. Brown at michael.j.brown1069.civ@us.navy.mil or via phone at 215-697-3765. The procurement follows standard federal acquisition protocols, including provisions for national defense priority ratings and emergency preparedness considerations. Electronic submission methods are permitted, with the government considering contractual documents "issued" upon deposit in mail, facsimile transmission, or electronic commerce methods like email.
