About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure metallic seals (NSN 7H-2835-014696294) with a specific technical design (TDP VER 006). The procurement involves 6 units to be delivered FOB Origin, with a critical requirement for engineering source approval from the design control activity. Maintaining the quality of the part is paramount, and the government recognizes the importance of existing unique design capabilities and manufacturing/repair knowledge from qualified sources. Potential offerors must meet stringent qualification requirements and be approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The pre-solicitation notice was posted on May 23, 2025, with responses due by June 9, 2025, and interested parties have 15 days to identify their capability to satisfy the requirement with a commercial item.

No specific set-aside has been designated for this procurement, and the contract will be awarded only if the offeror, product/service, or manufacturer meets the qualification requirements at the time of award. The procurement is subject to Free Trade Agreements and potentially the Buy American Act, depending on the final solicitation clauses. While the exact award value is not specified, the quantity of 6 units suggests a focused, specialized procurement. Interested parties can obtain supporting documentation through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) at Document Automation and Production Service in Philadelphia, PA, with most documents available in Adobe PDF format through ASSIST-Online.
