About this opportunity
The South Dakota Army National Guard seeks turnout firefighting equipment for structure and wildland operations, with quotes now due July 9, 2026, following an amendment on June 22 that extended the original June 23 deadline. This is a 100% small business set-aside resulting in a firm fixed price contract.
Place of performance requires contractor personnel to measure and fit individual firefighters at Range Road Armory in Rapid City, South Dakota, on September 12 or 13, 2026, with delivery targeted for November 20, 2026. The procurement includes nine structural jackets and trousers (NFPA 1971 compliant with US ARMY FIRE back patches), ten pairs of structural boots (sizes 5–15 full and 8.5–11.5 half), MSA Cairns helmets with facepieces and flip-down eye shields, ESS goggles, Nomex particulate hoods, structural gloves with five layers of Kevlar and cowhide, extrication gloves (cut-level A7), eight 20-foot drag straps with high-visibility webbing, helmet-mounted flashlights, and carabiners. Wildland items include nine yellow Nomex shirts (or Tecasafe equivalent) with bicep vents, ten green vented pants, two full-brim wildland helmets with adjustable sizing, eight helmet-mounted headlamps (100 lumens), sixteen pairs of AB-grade cowhide gloves with Kevlar stitching, nine NFPA-approved leather wildland boots with electrical hazard protection, four 40-pound capacity wildland PPE bags with retractable handles, five chest-mounted radio holsters, and nine fire shelters (seven regular, two large).
Branded items (Innotex structural ensembles, MSA Cairns helmets, CMC carabiners) are specified as "brand name or equal," permitting equivalent products meeting NFPA standards. Turnout gear must comply with NFPA 1971 composite construction requirements. Active SAM.gov registration is required. Quotes must include brand/model numbers, country of manufacture, unit pricing, and delivery time in days from fitting to final delivery. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of Amendment 0002 and provide a signed SF 30 with offers. DFARS clause 252.225-7012 was removed by Amendment 0002. The NAICS code is 333998; PSC is 4210.
