About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure 16 units of shoulder screws under NSN 1H-5305-014257888. The screws will be delivered to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard L1SS in Kittery, Maine. The government maintains full rights to the technical data package, which is complete and contains no technical data, engineering, tooling, or manufacturing restrictions that would limit competition. This acquisition is structured to allow for full and open competition among qualified contractors. The solicitation has a due date of July 11, 2025, with the pre-solicitation notice originally posted on August 18, 2021.

This procurement is designated as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns under FAR clause 52.219-6. The specific type of small business set-aside will be determined in the final solicitation and may include HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned, Women-Owned Small Business, or Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution designations. The contract involves a relatively small quantity of 16 units of specialized hardware components. No incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement falls under PSC category 5305 for screws, indicating this is a standard hardware acquisition for naval shipyard operations.
