About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Military Sealift Command (MSC) has issued a Limited / Sole Source Justification Notice for a bridge contract to provide operation and maintenance services for the Sea-Based X-Band radar (SBX-1). Due to the critical and urgent nature of SBX-1's national security missions, MSC has determined that the incumbent contractor, TOTE Services Inc., is the only source capable of performing the required services without unacceptable delays. The bridge contract will have a one-year firm period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, with a six-month extension option, for a total estimated value of $28,249,342.92. MSC plans to compete the follow-on contract with an estimated award date of December 9, 2024.

Notice text

Due to the critical nature and immediate urgency needed to fulfill the SBX-1 mission, MSC meets the requirements to limit full and open competition of this bridge contract by way of FAR 6.302-2 (Unusual and Compelling Urgency). TOTE, (as the incumbent), is the only source that can perform the mission without unacceptable delays and prevent loss of vital national security capabilities.

Awarded contract N3220524C4028 to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2024-03-29.
