About this opportunity
The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is seeking to procure 4 E.H. Wachs Reciprocating Saw Head Assembly units with reference number 11-034-404 for delivery to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. This solicitation falls under NAICS code 333515 (Cutting Tool and Machine Tool Accessory Manufacturing) and requires contractors to provide comprehensive documentation including CAGE codes, lead times, manufacturer information, and country of manufacturing. To be deemed responsive, offerors must complete the entire solicitation packet, sign required boxes, quote FOB Destination Bremerton, WA, and submit via email or fax. Contractors may need to comply with NIST SP 800-171 cybersecurity requirements unless the items qualify as Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products, in which case they must provide documentation during the solicitation period. The submission deadline is July 29, 2025 at 1:00 PM, with quotes to be sent to Jack Edwards at jack.edwards@dla.mil or faxed to 360-476-4121.
This opportunity is unrestricted with no set-aside designation, making it open to all qualified contractors regardless of size, though it appears to be set aside for small businesses with a size standard of 500 employees. The procurement specifically requires 4 units of the saw head assembly equipment to be delivered by October 31, 2025. Performance will take place in Bremerton, WA 98314, with delivery to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard facility. The solicitation includes requirements for unique item identifier (IUID) tags and prohibits substitutions without end-user approval. No incumbent contractors or specific award values are mentioned in the documentation, though the relatively small quantity and specialized nature suggest this is a targeted procurement for specific naval maintenance operations.
