About this opportunity
This pre-solicitation notice is for maintenance dredging services at Santa Barbara Harbor in California. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District will issue a full and open competitive solicitation without source exclusion on or around November 17th, 2022. Dredging will be required to depths of 35 feet MLLW and involve placement of 100,000 to 120,000 cubic yards of dredged material on down coast beaches. Subcontracting plans are mandatory for any awarded contract over $1.5 million. The price evaluation preference for HUBZone small businesses will apply and the solicitation and any amendments will be posted at FBO.gov.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. Typical past dredging cycles at the harbor remove between 100,000 to 120,000 cubic yards of material at a cost ranging from $5 million to $10 million. Electric dredges are generally required due to local air quality regulations. Interested vendors must register at FBO.gov to receive amendments and be included in the interested vendors list. The responsibility to monitor the website for updates lies with the offeror.
