About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command Fort Hood is seeking to procure two Gas Chromatograph (GC) instruments for air monitoring at the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. The key requirements include a Flame Photometric Detector with phosphorous and sulfur optical filters, specific chromatographic columns, air sampling pre-concentrator trap capability, electronic pressure control, and compact size and weight. The solicitation has a response due date of April 30, 2024 and requires delivery within 30 days of contract award.

This is a sole source procurement set aside for Teledyne Instruments Incorporated under NAICS code 334516 with a size standard of 1,000 employees. The estimated value is between the simplified acquisition threshold and $750,000. The existing MINICAMS instruments used for this purpose are being discontinued, necessitating the replacement with the Teledyne Falcon GC, which is the only commercially available instrument that meets the government's specific requirements based on market research.
