About this opportunity

The procurement encompasses five primary components: removal and disposal of the existing track with installation of a new 400-meter track compliant with World Athletics Standards, removal and disposal of old artificial turf on the football field, provision and installation of a hedge root removal solution with future damage protection, replacement of track floodlighting with LED-equivalent fixtures and poles, and connection of existing drainage infrastructure to the running track. This pre-solicitation notice was posted on January 22, 2026, with a proposal due date of February 19, 2026, allowing potential bidders approximately four weeks to prepare their responses. While the notice does not explicitly detail specific evaluation criteria, vendors should anticipate standard federal procurement evaluation practices focusing on technical capability, past performance, cost competitiveness, and compliance with regulatory standards. Interested contractors are advised to monitor the Federal Procurement Data System for the formal solicitation release and any accompanying communications regarding questions or clarifications.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation, allowing all eligible contractors to compete. The estimated contract value falls between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204(f), indicating a substantial infrastructure project requiring significant specialized expertise and resources. No incumbent contractor information has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The project scope encompasses both removal and installation activities across multiple infrastructure systems, requiring vendors to demonstrate comprehensive capabilities in sports surface installation, electrical systems, drainage infrastructure integration, and environmental remediation.
