About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure rotor, turbine, and aircraft replacement parts for repair and modification purposes under PSC Category 2840 (Gas Turbines and Jet Engines, Aircraft, Prime Moving; and Components). This procurement is restricted to Government-approved sources only, as the item is flight critical and requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain part quality. Contractors must demonstrate existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing or repair knowledge specific to this highly specialized component. Only sources previously approved by the Government have been solicited for this opportunity. The proposal deadline is January 9, 2026, with questions regarding this procurement to be submitted by this same date.

This Pre-Solicitation Notice involves no set-aside designations and is open only to qualified, pre-approved sources. The specific part being procured is identified by NSN 7R-2840-013949231-TN (TDP Version 001) with a requirement for 40 units delivered FOB Origin. Early and incremental deliveries are accepted under the contract terms. If your organization is not an approved source, qualification procedures must be submitted with your proposal and approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity, though the Government notes that the time required for new source approval typically prevents award delays pending such approvals. The notice indicates that the approved source(s) retain proprietary data rights, manufacturing and repair knowledge, and technical data that are not economically available to the Government and are essential to maintaining the quality of this flight-critical component.
