The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is preparing to solicit a service requirement for roller door inspection at Puget Sound, supporting the Naval Supply Systems Command (MSC). The procurement will be conducted using FAR Part 12 and 13 Procedures, with a planned negotiation on a sole source basis specifically for Federal Equipment Company. The solicitation is expected to be posted on SAM.gov on April 14, 2025, with a closing date of April 17, 2025. Prospective offerors are required to register on the SAM website and download solicitation documents independently, with no telephone or fax requests accepted. The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity, which falls under the NAICS category of Ship Building and Repairing (336611) and the PSC category of Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Ship and Marine Equipment. The procurement process allows interested parties to express their capabilities and interest in responding to the requirement, though the government retains sole discretion in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must be registered in the System for Awards Management (SAM) to be eligible for a potential government award.
