About this opportunity

The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is conducting a Sources Sought market research initiative for roll-off containers to be used at Marine Corps Base Depot Parris Island (MCRDPI). The procurement seeks small businesses capable of supplying four 30-cubic-yard containers and two 40-cubic-yard containers with specific structural specifications, including precise dimensional requirements and construction details. Interested vendors must submit their Cage Code/Unique Identity Code and socio-economic status to the point of contact, Andrea Learn, via email by 2:00 PM EST on December 11, 2024. The containers must meet detailed technical specifications, such as having floor thickness, structural channels, specific tubing for main rails, and walls constructed with designated gauge materials. All containers are required to be primed and painted Hunter Green and include roller wheels at front and rear positions.

This pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside for disadvantaged businesses, though it encourages small business participation. The containers will be categorized under NAICS code 332439 for Other Metal Container Manufacturing and PSC code 4250 for Recycling and Reclamation Equipment. While no specific award value is mentioned, the detailed technical requirements suggest a precise manufacturing standard for the roll-off containers. The opportunity is specifically for market research purposes, with a formal Request for Quote (RFQ) anticipated to be posted following this initial sources sought phase. Potential vendors are advised to carefully review the structural and dimensional requirements, which include specific measurements for container length (22 feet), width (7.5 feet), and height variations between 6 and 8 feet depending on the container size.
