About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Air Force Sustainment Center, specifically the 78th FSS at Robins AFB, is soliciting quotes from charter bus companies to transport children ages 5-12 on field trips in middle Georgia and the Greater Atlanta area. The contract will consist of a base year and four option years, with a total of 8 trips anticipated in the base year and an estimated 8 trips for each subsequent option year. Interested vendors must provide a comprehensive quote covering all contract years, including a total overall price. The solicitation is open to vendors in the Charter Bus Industry (NAICS 485510) with the specific PSC code V222 for passenger motor charter services. Potential bidders are encouraged to review the attached Statement of Work and can direct any questions to Ms. Elizabeth Haines or Ms. Alycia Carter via the provided email addresses. The response deadline is April 28, 2025, with the solicitation originally posted on April 17, 2025.
This contract opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, meaning only small businesses are eligible to compete. The place of performance is Warner Robins, GA 31098, which suggests local transportation services will be prioritized. While specific award value details are not explicitly stated, the contract structure of one base year and four option years indicates a potential multi-year engagement with predictable service requirements. The procurement involves securing two charter bus companies capable of supporting multiple field trips for children, suggesting a potential split award or multiple vendor selection strategy. Attached government files include a Statement of Work dated March 31, 2025, a solicitation amendment, wage determinations, and the primary solicitation document. Interested vendors should carefully review all attachments, particularly the Statement of Work, to ensure full understanding of the contract requirements and expectations.
