About this opportunity

The Defense Information Systems Agency seeks telecommunications carriers to provide a 50 MB Virtual Private Network (VPN) commercial lease service in Southwest Asia through this amended solicitation. This is a request for quote (RFQ) for commercial telecommunications services under NAICS code 517111 (Wired Telecommunications Carriers), with restricted access limited to entities registered under the appropriate NAICS code and requiring UEI or CAGE code verification for document access. Telecommunications providers must submit quotes with pricing structured as monthly recurring charges (MRC), non-recurring charges (NRC), and any applicable tier pricing for additional service months, while complying with standard FAR commercial item terms and conditions. The solicitation was posted on May 1, 2025, with quotes due by September 4, 2025. Service providers must meet the requested service date and acceptance criteria as outlined in the attached RFQ documentation.

No small business set-aside designation applies to this procurement, making it available to businesses of all sizes that meet the technical and registration requirements. The solicitation does not identify any incumbent contractors or potential award values, though the pricing structure requirement suggests this will be evaluated based on the most competitive monthly and non-recurring fee structure. The 50 MB bandwidth specification indicates a moderate-capacity network requirement, while the commercial lease arrangement suggests an ongoing service contract rather than a one-time purchase. Performance will occur in Southwest Asia, indicating this telecommunications service will support overseas military or defense operations in that geographic region. The restricted access nature of the solicitation and Defense Information Systems Agency's involvement suggests this VPN service will support sensitive government communications infrastructure.
