About this opportunity

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Office of Acquisition Services, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) regarding the transition of the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program's medical coding system from the International Classification of Diseases (ICD)-9 to ICD-10, ICD-11, and future versions. The purpose of this RFI is to solicit insights and solutions from qualified organizations to identify effective methods for automating the update of member certification files to the most valid ICD codes, ensuring accurate and seamless alignment with current healthcare standards.

The RFI seeks to assist the WTC Health Program in developing a strategy to modernize its coding system, maintain the integrity of the certification process, and ensure continued healthcare access for 9/11 Responders and Survivors. Key details include a request for feedback on project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for the transition, as well as interest in batch importing for efficient data updates. Responses are due by November 26, 2024 and should be submitted via email to Laurie Presley at xnp0@cdc.gov.
