About this opportunity
The United States Agency for International Development Bureau for Global Health seeks market research input through a Request for Information to inform the design of an activity to strengthen medical product quality assurance systems in low- and middle-income countries. USAID requests submissions no longer than 15 pages by October 13, 2023 addressing barriers, opportunities, and recommendations regarding regulatory system strengthening, responsible pharmaceutical market growth, local capacity building, and research priorities. USAID will evaluate responses to determine how to most effectively design an activity to advance medical product quality assurance and regulatory system capacity on a global, regional, and national level.
There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. Responses should provide sufficient detail and justification for any recommendations regarding priority barriers and opportunities for assuring medical product quality, approaches for responsible growth of pharmaceutical markets in developing countries over the next decade, strategies for strengthening medical product regulatory capacity and convergence across networks, and methods for building local systems and capacity. USAID intends to use the market research to potentially issue subsequent Requests for Information or solicitations but makes no funding commitments at this time.
