The services required include sighted assistance for transportation between the employee's residence in Centreville, Virginia (20120) and their workplace at 1400 New York Avenue, NW in Washington, DC (20001), with navigation support for the complete route from home to bus stop to metro and back. The scope of work encompasses approximately three days per week with four-hour service blocks, requiring the provider to facilitate the employee's commute via public transportation. This Request for Information (RFI) is being issued as a sources sought vehicle to identify interested parties and obtain capability statements rather than as a binding solicitation. Interested vendors must submit capability statements and a one-year cost estimate by January 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time, with all questions due by January 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM Eastern Time to contracting officer Edler Bonilla at edler.bonilla@usdoj.gov.

No current contractor or incumbent information has been disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice. The specific budget or award value for this contract has not been disclosed; however, vendors should prepare cost estimates for a full one-year period of performance based on the stated service requirements of approximately three days weekly at four hours per day. The contract will likely be structured as a service agreement supporting the employee's ongoing reasonable accommodation needs, with the annual cost estimate serving as a critical evaluation factor in the vendor selection process. The compressed timeline—with questions due January 5 and responses due January 6—indicates that the government intends to move rapidly toward formal solicitation or contract award following this information-gathering phase.
