About this opportunity
The Bureau of Reclamation within the Department of the Interior has issued a Request for Information and Pre-Solicitation Notice seeking information on potential vendors capable of providing two horizontal slurry pumps and two variable frequency drives with enclosures. The pumps must be designed for sediment-laden water containing clays, sands, and small gravels with a design flow of 3,400 gallons per minute, total dynamic head of 40 feet, and capability to handle particle sizes up to 75 mm. Each pump requires a 75-hp, 3-phase, 480V motor rated at 1,750 rpm, with elastomer or rubber-lined impellers, while the VFDs must include NEMA 1 enclosures and harmonic surge mitigation. Interested parties must provide their UEI number, socioeconomic standing, and equipment solution characteristics in their responses. The response deadline is June 27, 2025, with a formal solicitation planned for posting on or about the same date.
This procurement does not include any set-aside designations and is open to all qualified vendors regardless of size. No incumbents or current contractors are identified in the notice. While no specific contract value is disclosed, the Bureau plans to award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order requiring delivery within 90 days of award. The equipment quantities are clearly specified as two horizontal slurry pumps, two 75-hp motors, and two variable frequency drives, with the pumps designed to be mobile for use at various laboratory locations. The procurement falls under NAICS code 333914 for Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing and PSC code 4320 for Power and Hand Pumps.
