About this opportunity

USAID/Afghanistan seeks input through a Request for Information to design a new agriculture development activity supporting women farmers. The activity aims to enhance agricultural resilience and stabilize value chains. USAID poses six questions seeking recommendations to address gaps in stabilizing value chains and diversifying licit agriculture, enhance resilience to climate impacts like water stress, improve and sustain women-owned agribusinesses, leverage post-August 2021 organizational capacity, advise on acquisition vs assistance mechanisms, and provide other comments. Interested parties should respond by March 18, 2024 to hramin@usaid.gov with a 7-page submission directly answering the six questions.

There is no set-aside designation for this opportunity. Responses should advise USAID on intervention design for the new activity, which constitutes over 80% of Afghanistan's economy. No applications, proposals or other unsolicited information should be submitted beyond the scope of the six questions.
