About this opportunity

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Philippines and Mongolia, Regional Office of Acquisition and Assistance, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for a proposed new fishery activity in the Philippines. The activity aims to address unsustainable fishing and its drivers, promote sustainable harvest strategies, and increase compliance with fisheries policies in Fisheries Management Areas (FMAs). The RFI seeks information, opinions, and recommendations from interested parties on the design of this new activity to achieve the goal of sustainable and resilient fisheries management. The key objectives include expanding institutional partnerships, increasing compliance with science-informed policies and regulations, and increasing socioeconomic benefits for small-scale fishers and disadvantaged populations.

This is not a solicitation, and USAID will not pay respondents or provide notifications of the result of the review. If a solicitation is issued, it will be posted on SAM.gov or Grants.gov, and parties are responsible for monitoring those websites. There is no set-aside designation, and no information is provided on potential incumbents or award values. Responses are due by July 22, 2024, and USAID will hold responses confidential within the agency.
